Class Description:
In this class you will use cutting edge technology to focus on 21st century High Tech Project-based learning that is student-centered. Autonomous application is a powerful way to engage and empower learners and develop higher-order thinking skills. You will apply and develop skills in critical thinking and problem solving, collaboration and communication, project and resource management, creativity and adaptability. These are all skills necessary to succeed in school, college and a global economy.
Goals and Objectives
Upon completion of this class, the students should understand and be able to apply knowledge concerning:
-Blending innovation and Applications of 21st Century Technology
-Fundamentals of Robotics, STEM and Multi Media with academic content to assist and accelerate student performance.
-Demonstrate COLLEGE and CAREER readiness to integrate effective technology, apply problem solving and critical thinking in projects.
Class Schedule:
Each homeroom in 3rd, 4th and 5th grade will spend 45 minutes a day for 5 days in the smartlab on a rotating schedule. Kindergarten, first and second grade will spend 30 minutes a day for 5 days in the lab also on a rotating schedule. Students will work on various projects with a partner, therefore it is extremely important that each student arrive on time prepared to work.
